(More customer reviews)I purchased this unit a while ago and didn't have the opportunity to use it right away.Then I checked out the reviews and became a little worried about my purchase.
First the dust bag.I am not sure why others have had problems with this system.I think that they must not be attaching the bag correctly.The bag attaches at 2 different points and is really rock solid.But you must attach it correctly or I can see that the bag would fall off.The dust collection was excellent.I sanded with 50 grit, 120 grit and had no issues whatsoever.What's nice about this dust collection system is that it's not in your face, so you can see what you are doing.
This is a heavy unit and the center of gravity is very low.I found it to be very stable and easy to handle.The variable speed worked as advertised and would maintain a constant speed as I applied pressure.I like the fact that the cord is mounted on top.It stays out of the way and did not have a tendency to get cought and cause me to gouge the wood.The belt is easily removed and replaced with the flip of a knob.I have no complaints.
